Inspired

Even though I don't really have anything to post on my fanfiction, I was inspired to write anyways by Laurell K Hamilton. She has started to post again every day, and it isn't just about her new car. While I am happy for her getting a new hobby (she's a workaholic), I am not a car person and I got kind of sick of reading irregular posts about her car. But then again, it is her blog, so who am I to bitch? Anyways, I have gotten seven reviews on fanfiction.net, and 2 more on mediaminer.org in the matter of one day of my story being posted. I am so excited by this. However, I know that those numbers are the peak/high of a chapter for me. The few regulars I have reviewed (bless you all!), so any more are going to be few and far in between. Oh well. One day I hope to get hundreds of reviews, just like other popular authors. It is then that I will know I am a good writer. That or having a story published, and to be honest fanfiction is going to happen first. The two questions I want to put to you all are these. First, why do fanfiction readers review more than mediaminer? In my head, these two sites are the most popular for anime fanfiction, so it is kind of like a competition. It bothers me that fewer people read my stuff on ff.net, yet review more. Why can't everyone just review? :D That would be awesome, and at the same time a pain, because I'm one of those people that doesn't review that much. Second question, how is mediaminer screwing up my word count for chapters? It goes almost a thousand over for each chapter, it seems like. For example, that last one was only a bit over 3000, and mediaminer has me over 5000. What's up with that? If anyone knows, and if anyone even reads my blog, I would love an answer. On a different note, I think that this blog is therapeutic for me. I pretend that I'm like a big author, and that people care about what I'm writing, especially on updates of my chapter, and suddenly my blog is no longer a rant or a tear-fest, like all my previous blogs had been. It's an improvement. And finally, the one line on updates: I haven't even started writing the next chapter for Ultimatum. And if anyone ever reads my blog, they will discover long before I ever post it on either of the two sites that yes, the pairing is Hiei and Kagome. That is the ultimate pair in my head. :D I don't know if I will have lemons yet, because while I would love to have them, I am thinking that I will suck at writing them... How sad...

Anyways, Tchao!
